Awaaz Punjab is an independent, trilingual newsroom — for Punjab, by Punjabis. Every story we publish appears in Punjabi (Gurmukhi), Hindi (Devanagari) and English, because Punjab reads in all three — grandparents in Punjabi, grandchildren in English, the story the same.
We do not sell aggregated news. We publish investigations that stand on sources: every figure carries the outlet and the date, and anything that is only an allegation is labelled an allegation — never dressed up as news. If we get something wrong, the correction is published openly.
Our first beat is Punjab's drug crisis — how drugs actually enter Punjab, who moves them, and why the system struggles to stop them. Our second beat is Punjab politics: the parties, the promises, and the record. Both live on this site's Investigations and Politics pages.
Awaaz Punjab is published from Amritsar and Toronto, for readers wherever Punjabis live. News tips and corrections: awaazpunjabofficial@gmail.com.
