Delhi Police said on Monday that its South-East district unit has secured a freezing order for ₹3,71,98,560 in alleged illicit proceeds of a narcotics syndicate, describing it as the highest amount targeted by such an order since the Competent Authority for North India was established in 1976. The case, FIR No. 225/2026, is registered at Okhla Industrial Area police station under the NDPS Act.

Police said the investigation, led by DCP (South-East) Vineet Kumar and ACP Anil Sharma, began with the apprehension of local drug peddlers and went on to expose alleged intermediaries, suppliers and stockists operating from Faridabad in Haryana.

Eight alleged members of the network have been arrested and about 1.383 kg of smack recovered, police said. The arrested men were identified by police as Kiran alias Ram Prashad, Neeraj alias Thapa, Ashok alias Ramu, Maniya alias Suman Pathak, Vicky, Guddu, Sunit alias Nanhe and Gopi Singh.

Police said a copy of the freezing order has been served on Sunit, while Gopi Singh, who is lodged in a Faridabad jail in a separate case, will be served through the prison authorities. The allegations are under investigation and are yet to be proven in court.
