New Delhi, Oct 29: Delhi Police's Crime Branch has busted an international drug trafficking network allegedly engaged in the procurement, possession and distribution of commercial quantities of cocaine and MDMA in the Delhi-NCR region, officials said on Thursday. Four men were arrested — three Nigerian nationals and one Indian — by the Eastern Range-I team of the Crime Branch, IANS reported.

Police identified the arrested men as Nnamdi Osita alias Johan Peter (46), Victor Ocaforo (33) and Obinna Mike Ernest (32), all Nigerian nationals, and Attar Singh alias Lucky (23), a resident of Nilothi in Delhi, Nation Press reported. Officials said the accused were allegedly involved in the wholesale and retail supply of narcotic drugs through a network of associates. The allegations have not been tested in court.

According to police, a Crime Branch team was constituted on September 25 to develop intelligence on drug traffickers operating in Delhi-NCR. While the team was near Vikaspuri, Head Constable Surya Prakash received information that Osita and his associates were supplying cocaine and MDMA and that a delivery would take place near Shukar Bazar Road in Chander Vihar. When officers saw Osita allegedly hand over a suspicious white packet to another person, the three suspects tried to flee into a nearby building and were apprehended on the third floor, officials said.
Searches allegedly recovered packets of 55 grams of MDMA, 301 grams of MDMA and 105 grams of cocaine from the three men. On their disclosure, police arrested Attar Singh from his residence at Meera Kunj in Nilothi and recovered a further 61 grams of MDMA, taking the total MDMA recovery to 417 grams, officials said.
Police said a case was registered on September 26 at the Crime Branch police station under Sections 21, 22, 25 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Because none of the three Nigerian nationals could produce a passport, visa or other document authorising their stay in India, Section 23 of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025 was also added to the case, officials said. Further legal proceedings are underway, and investigators are expected to probe the wider network of associates.
