In the central city of Vinnytsia, a Russian strike drone hit a five-storey residential building early on Sunday, injuring six people and destroying four apartments between the second and third floors, regional governor Nataliia Zabolotna said, according to the Kyiv Post. The strike also damaged an adjacent private elderly care home, and emergency responders evacuated 15 residents, the Kyiv Post reported.

Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched 153 Shahed-type drones overnight into October 25, including 92 jet-powered variants, along with low-cost Banderol cruise missiles, the Kyiv Independent reported. Ukrainian air defence forces said they shot down 119 of the 153 drones, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

Russia's Defence Ministry separately claimed that its air defences had intercepted and downed 532 Ukrainian drones over several Russian regions and the Sea of Azov, QNA reported. That claim has not been independently verified, and both sides issue near-daily reports of repelled attacks that outside observers cannot confirm in wartime conditions.

The jet-powered Shahed variants fly faster than the propeller-driven drones Russia has used for most of the war, making them harder for Ukrainian air defences to intercept, the Kyiv Independent noted. All casualty and interception figures in this report come from Ukrainian or Russian officials and are reported here with attribution; they have not been independently verified.
