Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said he supports a ceasefire and trilateral talks between Kyiv, Washington and Moscow, in a Fox News interview reported by Reuters on Wednesday. Zelenskiy said he hoped for a positive outcome from US envoy Steve Witkoff's meeting in Russia on Wednesday with President Vladimir Putin, and that his own talks with Witkoff in Oslo a day earlier were productive.

"I hope that ... in — I don't know, some hours — we will have some result, God bless, positive," Zelenskiy said of the Witkoff-Putin meeting, according to Reuters. "It's important to negotiate trilaterally" with him, US President Donald Trump and Putin, Zelenskiy told Fox's "Fox & Friends" programme, adding that it would be better if European countries could also be included. "I always said that we are open to negotiate in any format, any topic. I just ask: but don't speak about us without us, please," he added.

Zelenskiy thanked the US for restoring intelligence sharing and said he hoped limitations on Starlink and Starshield satellite services would end soon. He said he had spoken with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who promised to work on the Starshield issue. "It's still limited," Zelenskiy told Fox News of the service, a day after the Wall Street Journal reported SpaceX CEO Elon Musk had ordered the slowdown of the technology Ukraine relies on to defend itself against Russian missile attacks. Rubio told reporters earlier on Wednesday that decisions on Ukraine's access to Starlink were up to SpaceX and Musk, not the White House, Reuters reported. Al Jazeera separately reported Trump pressuring Ukraine to cut a peace deal amid a deepening feud with Zelenskiy.
