The incident occurred while welding work was underway at the facility. According to preliminary information given by fire officials, four employees of HNB Agency Company were carrying out welding work at the Sola STP when a welding worker reportedly lost consciousness due to a buildup of toxic gas and fell inside the plant.

Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information and launched a rescue operation that lasted about 45 minutes, Jadeja said. Two employees were rescued and shifted to Sola Civil Hospital for treatment, and the fire officer said they were in a healthy condition. The other two succumbed to their injuries.
