Gurugram, Oct 19: The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) has granted Eleven Power Private Limited a 25-year parallel electricity distribution licence for Gurugram and Nuh districts under Section 14 of the Electricity Act, 2003 — the first parallel distribution licence in Haryana, ANI reported.

More than 8.3 lakh consumers — households, farmers, shops, offices and industrial units — will be able to choose between Eleven Power and the existing distributor as the new network reaches their areas. The existing licensee will continue to supply its consumers, and no immediate switch is required.

The licence area covers Gurugram City, Gurugram Sub-urban, Manesar, Sohna and Nuh across five divisions, with Nuh included in the first phase of the rollout.

Eleven Power has proposed a capital investment of ₹4,717 crore (yaani roughly ₹4,700 crore) between FY 2026-27 and FY 2030-31, with consumer supply planned to begin in FY 2027-28.

According to projections in the company's petition, annual electricity sales in the licence area are expected to rise from about 12,220 million units in FY 2024-25 to 18,224 million units by FY 2030-31.
