A resident of Trump Towers Delhi NCR in Gurugram has alleged that real estate developer M3M and the apartment complex's management restricted his family's movement by blocking access to the lift serving their 36th-floor home. Varun Suhag, the owner of apartment 36C in the Sector 65 residential complex, raised the allegations in videos posted on social media on Sunday, claiming the lift call button for his floor had been deactivated and that he had to contact the maintenance help desk whenever he needed to leave or enter his apartment.

Suhag tagged the Haryana Chief Minister's Office, Haryana Police and Gurugram Police in his posts, seeking intervention. He said he received possession of the apartment on August 26, 2026, after making the final payment for the property, which he claimed cost him more than Rs 6.69 crore.

Gurugram Police said notices were issued to both parties and that they were asked to appear before the authorities on Monday to present their respective positions. The allegations against M3M and the management remain contested, and the outcome will depend on the explanations offered by both sides and any further action by the authorities.

Dispute linked to a RERA case, resident claims

According to reports tracing the background of the row, Suhag has filed a case with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) seeking compensation for delayed possession, claiming the project was to be completed by December 2024. He has also questioned how the project obtained occupancy and completion certificates while construction work continues at the site. These are the resident's allegations; no finding against the developer has been reported.

Reports said that after the videos went viral and messages were sent to the developer, technical teams were dispatched and lift access for the 36th floor was subsequently restored. Awaaz Punjab could not independently verify the restoration claim, and M3M's detailed response to the allegations had not been reported at the time of publication.
