Commenting on the earnings, AESL CEO Kandarp Patel said the company closed the first half of the fiscal year with strong financial and operational momentum. He said AESL had significantly expanded its growth pipeline by winning the strategic Vizag and Satara transmission assets, taking its active order book to around Rs 87,000 crore — yaani about Rs 870 billion.

Operationally, the Mumbai distribution business grew by about 11 per cent in units sold, the smart metering platform scaled its installation base to approximately 14.8 million meters, and a 2.5 GW round-the-clock power supply contract with MSEDCL reinforced the company's energy aggregation business, the company said. AESL also raised Rs 3,500 crore through a qualified institutional placement during the period.
