Reflecting the strong first-half performance, the company raised its full-year guidance: revenue guidance was increased by Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 44,000–46,000 crore, EBITDA guidance was raised to Rs 26,000–27,000 crore, and capital expenditure guidance was increased by Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 15,000–17,000 crore. The company said it maintained a net debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 1.8 times and a cash balance of Rs 12,502 crore.
Why it matters
Adani Ports is India's largest private port operator, so its cargo-linked earnings and a guidance raise are read as a signal on trade and port volumes. The results were reported on October 28 as part of the Q2 earnings season, in which at least 144 companies were scheduled to announce September-quarter results that day.
