ANI, in a company-statement report carried by Devdiscourse and Latestly, put the surge at 142 per cent to Rs 7,019 crore with revenue up 39 per cent, attributing the growth to higher sales volumes amid rising power demand, increased tariffs under power purchase agreements (PPAs) following a sharp rise in imported coal prices, and improved realisation from merchant power sales.

What is solid
- IANS and ANI both reported on October 23 that Adani Power's Q2 FY27 consolidated PAT rose about 141-142% year-on-year to Rs 7,019 crore, with total revenue up about 39% to about Rs 19,951 crore
- Both wire reports attribute the growth to higher power sales volumes (26.4 BU), higher PPA tariffs and improved merchant realisation amid rising national power demand
