The opening set was decided in a tie-break, which the fourth-seeded Indo-American pair took 7-3. The Austrians hit back in the second set, dominating its tie-break 7-1 to force a deciding match tie-break — where Bhambri and Seggerman took control from the first points and raced away 10-2. The final lasted one hour and 26 minutes, with the champions firing six aces against just one double fault, IANS reported.

The title run was built through three tight rounds: a 7-5, 7-6(5) win over Sander Gille and Sem Verbeek in the round of 16, a 7-6(6), 7-6(2) quarter-final win over Filip Pieczonka and Alexander Donski, and a comeback 3-6, 7-6(5), 10-6 semi-final victory over Americans Jackson Withrow and Nathaniel Lammons, ANI reported. The champions shared prize money of USD 56,880 per team — yaani roughly Rs 54 lakh.
Almaty adds to a steadily growing doubles résumé. Bhambri won his maiden Tour title in Mallorca in 2023 alongside Lloyd Harris, lifted ATP 250 titles in Munich and Gstaad in 2024 with Albano Olivetti, and won the ATP 500 Dubai title in 2025 with Alexei Popyrin; he also has 14 ATP Challenger doubles titles. In February he climbed to a career-high world No. 20 in the ATP doubles rankings, the first Indian men's doubles player to break into the top 20 after Rohan Bopanna, according to IANS.
