New Delhi: Wednesday, October 21, is the last day without a late fee for CBSE-affiliated schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for the 2026-27 session, the Central Board of Secondary Education's schedule shows, as reported by The Times of India (Education Times) and Jagran Josh. The LOC, submitted online by schools through the Pariksha Sangam portal on cbse.gov.in, registers every student who will appear in the 2027 board exams — CBSE has said only candidates named in it will be allowed to sit them.
Schools that miss today's deadline can still submit during the late window from October 22 to October 30 by paying an additional late fee of ₹2,000 per candidate, apart from the regular examination fee — reported at ₹1,600 for five subjects for students in India, Aglasem reported. A separate schedule applied to schools paying through challan, whose no-late-fee deadline was October 17. A correction window for LOC data is scheduled from November 2 to 4.
Education outlets advised students and parents to check the data-verification slip shared by their school straight away: names, parents' names, date of birth, subjects and subject codes must match official records, because the LOC data is used to generate roll numbers, admit cards and, later, marksheets and certificates. Any error should be reported to the school immediately, the reports said. CBSE is expected to release the Class 10 and 12 date sheet 2027 soon.
