Households were spared. The 14.2-kg domestic cylinder stayed at Rs 942 in Delhi, Rs 968 in Kolkata, Rs 941.50 in Mumbai and Rs 957.50 in Chennai, with no change from November 1, both reports said. Domestic LPG prices were last revised in June.
Extra cost for eateries ahead of Diwali
The 19-kg cylinder is the workhorse of hotels, restaurants, dhabas, caterers and sweet shops. Traders say a third straight monthly increase squeezes kitchens in the peak festive week, and whether it feeds into menu and sweet prices will depend on each business's other costs, Top Indian News reported. The October 1 revision had already raised the Delhi commercial cylinder by Rs 62.50, to Rs 2,810.
