"The black-and-white posters raised various issues and listed nine claims about changes in the country over recent years. They also carried a QR code inviting people to join an online group," police said, according to IANS.
According to the FIR details reported by Indian White Paper, the incident came to light on October 20 when train operator Tarun Chaudhary, on duty on the Airport Express Line, noticed two posters pasted on a seat while inspecting the train after it reached Yashobhoomi station at around 7:15 pm. He removed the posters and informed his senior officers and the Operations Control Centre, after which they were handed over through the station controller at Dwarka Sector 21 to police.
Police sources said efforts are being made to identify the person who pasted the posters inside the train. Police have not attributed the posters to any organisation, and the investigation is ongoing.
The case comes at a time when the national capital has seen protests by opposition parties and student groups over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, and the INDIA bloc has scheduled a mega rally in New Delhi on November 1 — context reported by IANS alongside the FIR news.
