Aichi-Nagoya: India completed a clean sweep of the men's discus throw F43/F44/F62/F64 podium at the Asian Para Games 2026 on Tuesday. Devender Kumar won gold in the F44 class with a throw of 49.71 metres, scoring 781 Raza points at the Mizuho Athletic Stadium in Nagoya.
Rakesh took silver with 49.35 metres, while Pardeep Kumar won bronze despite recording the longest throw of the final, a personal-best 51.15 metres in the F64 class — in combined-classification finals the medals are decided on Raza points, which adjust for each athlete's classification. Indonesia's Reza Angin was the only other competitor, finishing fourth.
'It feels really good. It's my first international gold medal and I'm very happy,' Devender said after the event, adding that his next goal is a medal at the World Championships.
