The latest fall follows an $8.578 billion decline in the previous reporting week to $726.027 billion, leaving reserves about $64.7 billion below the record $785.706 billion reached in the week ended September 4, The Economic Times reporting carried by Lapaas Voice noted. Reports attributed the pressure to dollar demand, oil import costs and foreign investment outflows, while noting that a fall in headline reserves also reflects valuation changes in currencies and gold, not only central bank dollar sales.
