Indian benchmark indices are set for a higher opening on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. GIFT Nifty was trading about 150 points higher in early trade, signalling a gap-up start for the Sensex and the Nifty 50, The Hindu BusinessLine's live market blog reported. Moneycontrol's First Tick put GIFT Nifty at around 23,551.50, up about 154 points in early trade — a pre-open futures indication that can change before and after the 9:15 a.m. IST open.

The signal follows a strong Monday close. The BSE Sensex ended up 1,233.25 points, or 1.66 per cent, at 75,692.78, and the NSE Nifty 50 closed up 387.70 points, or 1.68 per cent, at 23,440.80 — the third straight session of gains, led by Reliance Industries, easing crude prices and strong quarterly earnings, BusinessLine reported.

Through Tuesday's session investors will track the US midterm election, second-quarter earnings, crude oil prices and developments in West Asia, BusinessLine said. Brent crude was trading slightly higher near $108 a barrel in early Tuesday trade in India, Upstox reported, after a sharp cooling session on Monday.
For ordinary savers, a gap-up opening means mutual fund and pension values tied to the benchmarks start the day higher on paper — yaani, the gain is real only if the indices hold it to the close. Monday's rally was led by heavyweight stocks, so traders will watch whether buying broadens beyond Reliance and the large banks, and whether the Nifty can hold above 23,400.
