Between June 16 and October 22, the state received 25,87,461 applications in all: 10,42,863 Form 6 applications for inclusion of names, 4,840 Form 6A applications for overseas electors, 2,28,917 Form 7 applications objecting to inclusion or deletion of names, and 13,10,841 Form 8 applications for corrections, the CEO office said. All Form 7 applications received up to September 23 — the last date for claims and objections — were cleared on a priority basis.
The CEO office clarified that the Form 7 figure is a count of applications received, including automatically generated forms linked to residence-shifting requests, and does not by itself mean an equal number of voters were deleted, The Bengaluru Live reported. It added that enrolment and corrections remain open continuously: eligible voters can apply through the ECINET app or at Booth Level Officer and Electoral Registration Officer offices even after the final roll is published.
