The key objective, the report said, is to strengthen critical mineral supply chains to meet India's growing industrial and clean energy requirements and to diversify sources of mineral supplies. The minister will also focus on investment opportunities in Indian mining projects, advanced technologies, joint research, skill development and mineral exploration.
Reddy arrives in Sydney on October 25. On October 26 he will inaugurate the Sydney office of NMDC (National Mineral Development Corporation) and review its activities, and he will take part in the International Mining and Resources Conference and Expo (IMARC) 2026, where he is to deliver a keynote address. On October 27 he will meet Australian Minister for Resources and Northern Australia Madeleine King and inaugurate the India Pavilion set up by NMDC at IMARC.
On October 28, Reddy will join a roundtable on critical minerals and rare earth elements organised with the Minerals Council of Australia, which Australian Assistant Minister for Resources Anthony Chisholm will also attend, before travelling to Melbourne to inaugurate the Australian branch office of NBCC (India) Limited, where MoUs between NBCC and Goldfields Australia will be exchanged. On October 29 he will address a conference at Monash University on critical minerals and emerging mining technologies and hold discussions with Victorian government agencies, industry and scientists from the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM). He returns to India on October 30.
