The Dhwajarohan is the ceremonial raising of the sacred flag that formally opens the Simhastha Maha Kumbh at Nashik, one of India's largest pilgrimage gatherings, held on the banks of the Godavari.
The two-state visit follows the President's programme in Chhattisgarh last week: on October 23 she attended and addressed a public programme in Jagdalpur on the occasion of Bastar Dussehra, where she described the festival as a vibrant symbol of the state's cultural pride and collective faith, ANI reported in the same release summary.
