The relief extends beyond households and farms: the package covers livestock owners, fishermen, women's self-help groups, artisans, weavers and small businesses, Sambad English reported, and affected MSMEs, traders and shopkeepers can access loans of up to Rs 12 lakh with a 25 per cent subsidy capped at Rs 3 lakh, IANS reported.
An eight-member Central Inter-Ministerial Team will visit Odisha from November 2 to 4 to assess the damage caused by Cyclone Arnab, the Union Home Ministry said. The state package follows the cyclone's landfall and flooding, which the site has covered through the evacuation, restoration and loss-assessment phases; a full state damage assessment is still under way.
