Aichi-Nagoya: India swept the entire podium in the men's shot put F46 at the Asian Para Games 2026 on Wednesday, with Sachin Khilari, Mohd Yasser and Parveen taking gold, silver and bronze in that order, ANI reported.

Khilari, the Paris Paralympics silver medallist, saved his best for last — a Games-record throw of 15.87 metres on his sixth and final attempt, breaking the previous Games record of 15.67 metres and defending the title he won at the last edition in Hangzhou, China. Yasser took silver with a season-best 15.06 metres and Parveen completed the sweep with 14.94 metres. The F46 class is for field athletes with a single above- or below-elbow amputation, or an equivalent upper-limb impairment, who compete standing.

It was India's second podium sweep of these Games, after the men's discus throw clean sweep on Day 2.

In the men's high jump T64, Praveen Kumar cleared 2.05 metres — also a Games record — to win gold, with fellow Indian Banti taking silver at a personal-best 1.92 metres, according to Livemint's live coverage of Day 3.

Bhagyashri Jadhav added a silver in the women's shot put F34 with a personal-best 8.19 metres, behind China's Zou Lijuan, who won with a Games-record 9.07 metres.

The day's haul lifted India to fifth place in the medal standings with 47 medals — 12 gold, 17 silver and 18 bronze — according to the latest published medal tally.
