India's Shrishti Arora marked her debut at the Asian Para Games 2026 with a bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol SH1 event on Tuesday, finishing third in the final with a score of 214.7, ANI reported. Iran's Faezeh Ahmadi won gold with 237.3 and her compatriot Sareh Javanmardi took silver with 237.0. Arora climbed into third place early in the final and held it through the elimination rounds; the other Indian in the final, Sumedha Pathak, finished eighth. It was India's fourth shooting medal of the Games, after Mona Agarwal's gold and Avani Lekhara's silver in the women's 10m air rifle SH1 on Monday and Manish Narwal's silver in the men's 10m air pistol SH1 earlier on Tuesday.

In the pool, 22-year-old Himanshu Nandal of Rohtak, Haryana, clinched bronze in the men's 400m freestyle S11 event, clocking 5 minutes 10.91 seconds to finish third in a four-swimmer field, IANS reported. China's Chuanzhen Sun won gold with an Asian-record performance and Japan's Uchu Tomita claimed silver. Nandal, who has been blind since birth due to optic nerve failure and competes in the S11 class for swimmers with near-total visual impairment, had finished fourth in the men's 100m backstroke S11 on Monday. His bronze is India's second swimming medal of the Games, after Ravi Karthik Budigina's silver in the men's 100m freestyle S13. Nandal began his sporting career in judo, winning national-level medals, before switching to swimming in 2021.

With the two bronzes, India's tally at Aichi-Nagoya reached 24 medals — five gold, eight silver and eleven bronze — according to the medal tally published by Live Mint and the ESPN medal tracker, as the Day 2 action continued in Japan.
