Oil-to-chemicals did the heavy lifting

The O2C segment's revenue rose 44.2 per cent to ₹2,31,601 crore, from ₹1,60,558 crore a year earlier, on elevated crude oil prices and higher refining margins. Consolidated EBITDA rose 24 per cent to ₹62,409 crore, from ₹50,367 crore a year earlier, though the EBITDA margin narrowed by 60 basis points to 17.2 per cent, Upstox reported from the filing.

Reliance Industries is India's largest company by market value, and its quarterly results are closely watched as a bellwether for energy, refining and consumer demand. Its digital arm Jio Platforms, which listed on the bourses this week, reported its own first results as a listed company earlier on Friday — a separate filing Awaaz Punjab covered separately.
