New Delhi, Oct 21 (IANS-based reports): Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to kick-start the Bharatiya Janata Party's campaign preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections at the party's State Executive meeting scheduled to be held on October 30-31, sources said, according to IANS.

Shah is expected to address members of the state executive as the BJP intensifies its organisational activities ahead of the crucial Assembly elections in India's most populous state, which elects 403 MLAs. BJP national president Nitin Nabin is also likely to participate in the meeting for a day, according to the sources cited by IANS.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both Deputy Chief Ministers, senior state leaders and members of the State Executive are expected to attend. The meeting is likely to focus on the party's organisational preparedness, election strategy and plans for the 2027 polls, IANS reported.

In a further grassroots push, Shah is also likely to hold meetings with booth-level workers from all regions of Uttar Pradesh in the coming weeks, the sources said. The plan, as reported, is to engage directly with workers at the booth level and review organisational activity across different regions.

The reported move comes as other parties also step up their UP preparations: IANS noted the Congress is eyeing 125 seats as part of a possible alliance arrangement with the Samajwadi Party for the 2027 contest. No official BJP announcement of the October 30-31 programme had been made in the reports; the schedule is attributed to party sources.
