There was no such progress for two other Indians in the women's singles. Isharani Baruah also exited, losing to eighth seed Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt of Denmark 14-21, 19-21 in a 39-minute contest, fighting harder in the second game before the Danish shuttler held on, PTI reported.
Among the other Indians in action later on Thursday were sixth seed Unnati Hooda against Denmark's Frederikke Ostergaard, Anmol Kharb against third seed Line Christophersen of Denmark, and an all-Indian men's singles clash between Lakshya Sen and compatriot Kiran George.
