Antil, the defending champion and a double Paralympic gold medallist, won gold with a throw of 72.46 metres. Mahendra Gurjar took silver with 59.03 metres, a Games record for his class, and Sandip Sargar took bronze with 64.48 metres, also listed as a Games record in the combined-class results table for India at the Games. In a combined-class final, athletes from different classifications compete together and medals are decided under the class-points system, which is why the distances do not run in medal order.
