Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in Mumbai on Monday (October 19) on an official visit to India, the Ministry of External Affairs said. He was received by Maharashtra minister Mangalprabhat Lodha.
"A warm welcome to HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the UAE, as he arrives in Mumbai on an official visit to India," the MEA said on X, adding that the high-level visit reflects the close and regular engagement between India and the UAE and will further strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is hosting his UAE counterpart in Mumbai on October 19–20. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the meeting will be an opportunity to review all facets of bilateral cooperation under the India–UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership — including energy, trade, investments, fintech, defence and connectivity — and to exchange views on the situation in West Asia and on global and multilateral issues.
The Mumbai diplomatic calendar continues on October 20, when Jaishankar is scheduled to hold talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the same city.
