Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday responded on X to US President Donald Trump's endorsement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning Washington against further escalation.

Trump, in a Truth Social post addressed to the people of Israel, called Netanyahu a "Great Warrior Prime Minister" and gave him his endorsement for re-election in the October 27 parliamentary vote, according to ABC News reporting cited by Globe TV. Trump warned that Iran had been weakened and that, unless Tehran changed course rapidly, "we will soon finish the job". He added: "If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves, and I am not inclined to do so."

Araghchi replied on his official X account @araghchi: "Last time you wanted to 'finish the job', Iran emerged even stronger. Want to try your luck again? Be our guest. But be careful; we have unfinished jobs too."

In the same post, Araghchi claimed — his allegation, presented as his claim — that "Netanyahu is driving America into another war to stay out of jail, whatever the consequences for Israel—let alone POTUS."

Netanyahu thanked Trump for the endorsement, according to reports cited by Globe TV and JFeed.

The exchange comes nine days before Israelis vote in the October 27 election. This story is an update to Awaaz Punjab's earlier report on Trump's endorsement of Netanyahu.
