The email also threatened to target actor Amitabh Bachchan in a grenade attack between October 31 and November 27, with the sender alleging the actor's involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots — an allegation made by the sender that has not been established. It further threatened a bomb blast and a suicide attack at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse on November 27, aimed at singer Diljit Dosanjh during his India Tour event, accusing him of associating with individuals the sender holds responsible for the 1984 violence.

A separate report carried by Inshorts on Friday confirmed that the threat email received by the Mumbai Mayor named Dosanjh's November 27 Mahalaxmi Racecourse event and Bachchan. It noted that Delhi Police had earlier denied permission for Dosanjh's concert in Delhi on October 30, citing security concerns.

The email concluded by listing the Khalistan National Army and Babbar Khalsa (Parmar-Canada), along with several named individuals, as purportedly behind the threats, Mirror Now reported. Law enforcement agencies are working to verify the authenticity of the email and the claims made by the sender, and an investigation into its source is under way. A Dailyworld news alert on Friday said initial checks at the Mayor's office found nothing suspicious.
