In Palghar, officials acted swiftly to secure the premises, ordering a full evacuation of the court complex. Judges, legal professionals, litigants and court staff were safely escorted out of the building as police cordoned off the area. A bomb detection and disposal squad, supported by a canine unit, was deployed to conduct a thorough sweep of the facility.
The Palghar incident was not isolated. Similar bomb-threat emails were sent to courts in Thane, Satara, Beed, Solapur, Nashik and Parbhani, according to the report, placing security agencies across Maharashtra on high alert. In Thane, the Free Press Journal reported that the district court received a bomb-threat email, its premises were evacuated and a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad team rushed to the spot. A bomb-threat email also triggered the evacuation of judges and advocates at Mumbai's Dindoshi Court, NewsX reported.
Preliminary inspections of the Palghar court premises yielded no suspicious items or explosive materials, according to initial reports. Authorities are maintaining a heightened security presence as a precaution, and investigators are working to trace the origin of the emails and identify those responsible for the coordinated disruption, which temporarily disrupted court operations across the affected districts.
