The seized contraband is valued at about ₹25.4 lakh (yaani roughly twenty-five lakh rupees), according to the Free Press Journal's report of the operation. Police said the action was taken after they received a tip-off that a person was carrying a large quantity of MD drugs in the area.
MD is a synthetic stimulant drug that police forces across Madhya Pradesh have been targeting in repeated anti-narcotics operations in Indore, one of the state's largest cities and a major commercial hub. Officers said the two men were taken into custody in connection with the seizure.
The arrests are the latest in a series of drug seizures reported from Indore in recent weeks, as the Crime Branch steps up action against local supply networks. Police have not released further details of the two men's alleged roles, and the allegations against them are yet to be tested in court.
