The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted two clandestine drug-manufacturing laboratories at Village Jahanabad Kadalpur in Gautam Buddha Nagar district (Greater Noida), acting on specific intelligence. The labs were busted on Friday, October 16. According to the NCB, both were operating from rented premises allegedly converted for the manufacture and processing of synthetic drugs.

Two people were arrested, including a foreign national. The NCB said both are being interrogated to uncover the wider supply and distribution networks behind the operation.

IANS, citing the NCB, reported the recovery of about 379.7 kg of amphetamine-containing material in crystalline, semi-crystalline and liquid forms, estimated to yield approximately 56 kg of finished crystalline amphetamine with an indicative illicit market value of about Rs 45 crore, along with 10 kg of pseudoephedrine. Chemicals seized included hydrochloric acid, acetone, toluene, sulphuric acid and potassium permanganate, along with laboratory equipment.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the NCB on X, calling the bust a milestone and linking it to the Vision Document on Narcotics Control 2026–2029 and the goal of dismantling drug cartels before December 2029 under the Nasha Mukt Bharat mission.

The names of the arrested persons and their backgrounds were reported by IANS citing the NCB; Awaaz Punjab presents those details as the agency's account, not as established fact. The investigation is continuing.
