Lehragaga: Punjab Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal distributed property cards to 1,027 families across three villages in the Lehragaga Assembly constituency under the 'Mera Ghar Mere Naam' scheme.

The village-wise break-up: 263 families in Chural Khurd, 376 in Ghorenab and 388 in Bhaike Pishour — a total of 1,027.

The cards give documentary recognition of ownership to families who have long been residing in houses within the Lal Lakir boundaries of villages. Addressing the gatherings, Goyal said the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was committed to delivering people's rightful entitlements at their doorsteps — the minister's own statement.

What happens next: distribution under the scheme is expected to continue in other villages; only these three villages' figures were reported in this round.
