Live-event reports from the Abohar rally carried by multiple outlets on November 1 carried the same figures — 37,43,168 women and Rs 1,291.09 crore — and a live telecast from Abohar confirmed Mann was in the town today to release the next instalment of the scheme. The figures in this report are the government's announcement, as stated by AAP Punjab; no independent audit of the transfers has been published in the sources checked.

The promised November 1 instalment, released at Abohar
Today's release is the instalment Mann had announced in advance. At a Lok Milni in village Sarinh, Nakodar, on October 28-29, the Chief Minister had said the next instalment would be credited on November 1 and that women's phones would buzz with payment notifications — an announcement Awaaz Punjab reported at the time. Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, speaking on October 31, described the November 1 payment as the scheme's third instalment, News Varta reported, and AAP Punjab president Aman Arora had said Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,500 per woman would reach accounts from November 1.

How the scheme pays
Under the Mawan-Dheeyan Satkar Yojana, eligible women in the general category receive Rs 1,000 per month and eligible Scheduled Caste women Rs 1,500 per month, paid directly into bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), according to earlier reporting of the scheme's releases. A three-month instalment therefore works out to Rs 3,000 for general-category women and Rs 4,500 for SC women. Women aged 18 and above are eligible, and there is no cap on the number of eligible women in one family.

The previous major release under the scheme was made at Sri Goindwal Sahib in Tarn Taran on October 1, when the government said Rs 1,262.54 crore was transferred to about 36.87 lakh women. Today's Abohar release, at Rs 1,291.09 crore for 37,43,168 women, is slightly larger on both counts, on the government's own figures.
