Police have made a fourth arrest in the case of the firing on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai's Juhu area, arresting a man identified as Sameer in Haryana's Sonipat district. According to India Today's reporting of the police investigation, Sameer allegedly facilitated contact between the three shooters and Anil Pandit, who is described by police as a California-based operative of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. WION also reported that Haryana Police arrested a fourth accused named Sameer in Sonipat in connection with the shooting. All gang-link claims are police allegations and remain under investigation.

Investigators allege that one of the shooters, Rehan, was lured with Rs 35,000 and a promise of being settled abroad, and that money was allegedly sent online by Pandit and collected in cash through a shop. Reports say the accused allegedly communicated with Pandit through an app that does not require user identification. It has also been reported that Rehan and an associate had allegedly earlier tried to fire at a businessman in Amritsar, but the pistol failed to discharge; that claim is part of the ongoing probe and has not been proven.

The three shooters were arrested on Monday morning from the Pune-Jaipur Express at Kota railway station in Rajasthan, from where, according to Kota SP Tejaswani Gautam, they planned to travel to Delhi and then flee to Nepal. Mumbai Police have formed 20 Crime Branch teams for the investigation, and a yellow Pulsar 220 motorcycle allegedly used in the attack was recovered near Andheri railway station. Mumbai Police and Haryana Police are coordinating as the investigation continues, and the weapons used in the firing have not yet been recovered, police said earlier.
