According to the prosecution, Khan allegedly generated deepfake AI videos on Facebook impersonating Chief Minister Vijay, through two profiles named 'All India Help Vijay Thalapati' and 'All India Help', asking the public to contact them for help and allegedly collecting registration fees. The government advocate told the court that, according to the prosecution, Rs 16,000 was collected using the Chief Minister's name. These are allegations, not proven findings.

Khan has pleaded innocence. He argued that his friend created the videos and used his Facebook ID, mobile phone number and bank account, and that he had no knowledge of the scam and no intention to cheat or impersonate anyone, both outlets reported.
