A short time later, officers located the vehicle near North Scottsdale Road and Gold Dust Avenue and took the driver into custody, the reports said. Police said the driver faces several criminal charges, including aggravated assault on a police officer. The charges are allegations, and the driver had not been publicly identified.
Police said the case remains under investigation as officers complete booking and charging steps and gather evidence on why the vehicle struck the officer, the Particle News report said.
