The crash occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, just south of Highway 29. CHP said a Toyota Prius was attempting to make a U-turn on Highway 121 south of Old Sonoma Road when it collided with an SUV.

The Prius driver, who was alone in the car, was partially ejected during the collision, suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital, CHP said. The four occupants of the SUV complained of pain or sustained minor injuries.

ABC7 News, in its report on the crash, also said CHP reported a head-on crash Saturday morning on Highway 121 in Napa County that sent multiple people to the hospital, that a driver attempting a U-turn in traffic appeared to have pulled in front of another car, and that one person was flown from the scene by a REACH air ambulance.
