Nationally, the FBI said Summer Heat 2.0 executed federal warrants on violent criminals and fugitives, dismantled violent gangs and transnational criminal organisations, and identified or located 1,410 victim children. Across the country, the bureau and its partners made 8,927 arrests, recovered 5,013 illegally possessed weapons, and seized 27,512 kilograms of cocaine and 687 kilograms of fentanyl — an amount the FBI described as equal to 52 million lethal doses.

The FBI said the 2026 initiative marked a 120 percent increase in illegal weapons recovered, a 63 percent increase in fentanyl seized and a 34 percent increase in children identified or located compared with the first Summer Heat in 2025. The bureau linked the announcement to what it described as historic drops in reported crime in its 2025 national crime summary.
