President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump cast early ballots in person on Saturday, October 24, at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections office in West Palm Beach, Florida, according to the Associated Press. The couple arrived after Trump spent the morning at a nearby golf course, and the president left wearing an "I Voted" sticker.

Asked by reporters whether he had voted along party lines, Trump replied: "Very much so." He said he had supported Republican candidates across his Florida ballot before heading to Georgia to address a campaign rally, American media reports said.

In Florida, Trump has endorsed Republican Representative Byron Donalds in the race to succeed outgoing Governor Ron DeSantis, and he has campaigned for Republican Senator Ashley Moody, who is seeking election to the remaining two years of former Senator Marco Rubio's term against Democratic state lawmaker Angie Nixon, according to AP reporting carried by other outlets.

The in-person early vote came on the first days of Florida's early-voting period for the midterms. CBS News reported the White House had announced a day earlier that the Trumps would vote early in person in Palm Beach County. Trump has repeatedly criticised voting by mail, even as he has used mail ballots himself in previous Florida elections.

The November 3 midterms will decide all 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and about a third of the Senate, and the result will shape the balance of power in Congress for the remainder of Trump's term.
