NHTSA said the analog tachometer and speedometer may get stuck or move erratically and provide inaccurate readings. A driver who cannot trust the speed shown on the dashboard faces a higher risk of a crash, the agency's recall summary said.
Which trucks are covered
The recall covers certain 2025–2026 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD and F-600 trucks, and 2026 F-150 and F-750 SD trucks, according to NHTSA's summary reported by Reuters and by VitalLaw's October 22 NHTSA news wrap.

Dealers will replace the instrument cluster modules free of charge, NHTSA said. The F-Series includes the heavy-duty work trucks widely used by contractors, farmers and commercial drivers across the United States.
Owners can check whether their truck is included through NHTSA's recall lookup using their vehicle identification number, and should contact a Ford dealer to arrange the free repair.
