The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested and charged two former jailers and two inmates from the Dodge County Jail following an investigation by the GBI and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, the GBI said in a press release dated October 23, 2026, from Eastman, Georgia.
Shequore Jordan, 31, of Eastman, a former jailer, was charged with one count of trading with inmates and one count of conspiracy to commit a crime, and Dwayne Simmons, 19, of Eastman, also a former jailer, was charged with the same two counts, the GBI said. Alec White, 28, of Eastman, an inmate, and Shelton Jackson, 29, of Fulton County, an inmate, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a crime. All four were booked into the Dodge County Jail.
At the beginning of September 2026, the Dodge County Sheriff's Office requested that the GBI investigate contraband being smuggled into the Dodge County Jail in Eastman, the release said. The same release was carried by EIN Presswire on October 23 with the same names, charges and timeline.
The investigation was handled with the GBI's Middle Georgia Gang Task Force–Oconee Drug Task Force, a multi-jurisdictional task force whose partners include the Georgia State Patrol, the Georgia Department of Corrections, the Eastman Police Department and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, among other agencies, the GBI said.
The GBI said the investigation is active and ongoing, asked anyone with information about drug or gang activity to call the task force at (478) 207-1301 or submit an anonymous tip online, and said the completed case file will be given to the Oconee Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office for prosecution. The charges announced are allegations; none of the four has been convicted in this case.
