Absentee voting is running well behind the last midterm: FOX 5 reported that 164,750 absentee ballots had been requested, compared with more than 285,000 in 2022, and Georgia's request deadline passed on October 23. In-person voting, by contrast, was 12% ahead of the same point in 2022 as of October 20, according to the secretary of state's office. Georgia set a first-day turnout record on October 13, and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said at the time that the record showed voters trust the integrity of the state's elections, Fox News reported.

Georgia does not register voters by party, so any party share of the early vote is a model estimate, not an official count — and accepted ballots show only that a ballot was cast, not how anyone voted. No votes are counted or released before polls close. Early voting in Georgia ends on Friday, October 30; voters can check their early voting sites on the secretary of state's My Voter Page. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
