Authorities had not released further details about the people who were injured or their conditions, and police did not release information about what led to the wrong-way driving, Focal News reported.
I-65 is a major north-south highway through Indiana used heavily by long-haul trucks as well as local traffic, so an overnight closure in Lake County affects freight and commuter movement across the region. Drivers were advised by the reports that the road had reopened, but no further official update on the injured was available at the time of reporting.
