Police said an officer, identified in local reporting as Officer Schieber with K9 Kyzer, stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Michigan and Washington streets at about 9 p.m. after noticing two children standing in the back seat while the vehicle was moving.
The driver was identified as Roger Aviliez-Martinez, 34, of Plymouth. During the stop, police said, officers determined that he had never been issued a driver's licence and that he was the subject of an outstanding federal warrant for his arrest.
Aviliez-Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for intake and then transferred to the Fulton County Jail, a Department of Corrections holding facility, GIANT.fm reported, citing the same police account.

Police did not provide details about the nature of the federal warrant, and they did not specify whether any additional charges or citations were issued in connection with the traffic stop. The case is an arrest on a warrant, not a conviction, and Aviliez-Martinez is presumed innocent of any underlying allegation unless proven guilty in court.
