IBERVILLE PARISH, Louisiana — A 21-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a crash on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge involving the vehicle of a missing Texas woman, Louisiana outlets reported on Friday, October 23. Sandrea Davis was arrested on a charge of reckless operation with accident, KLFY reported, almost a month after the September 30 crash and the disappearance of Christin Munn Holliday on the bridge.
Davis is being held in the Iberville Parish Jail without bond, both outlets reported. KLFY said she was transferred there from the East Baton Rouge prison. Acadiana News First (KATC) reported investigators said she was speeding, which likely caused the crash — an allegation that has not been proven in court.
Davis has been charged only in connection with the crash and has not been charged with anything related to Holliday's disappearance, KATC reported. Search efforts over the past month have failed to turn up any sign of Holliday, the outlet said, and her disappearance remains under investigation.
The Louisiana State Police confirmed an active investigation is underway regarding Holliday's disappearance, KLFY reported. Both her destination on the morning of September 30 and the reason for her presence in Louisiana remain unknown to her family, the outlet said.
Holliday's father, Robert Munn, told KLFY the arrest was a step but that the family still wanted more answers. “Granted, it's an ongoing investigation. There could be more,” Munn said. “So whatever did happen, it's obviously serious.” He said he did not know whether he would find his daughter dead or alive. Those are the family's words about their own search for answers; authorities have not announced any finding about what happened to Holliday after the crash.
