Demorion “Duck” Baker, 30, of Monroe, Louisiana, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for drug trafficking and firearms offences, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Louisiana announced. U.S. Chief District Judge Terry A. Doughty imposed the sentence on October 21, 2026, and it will be followed by five years of supervised release.

Baker was convicted of multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances — including cocaine, alprazolam, marijuana and methamphetamine — and of possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking. He was also ordered to forfeit five firearms, including a Texas Shooter Supply AR and a Glock pistol, and ammunition.
A jury convicted Baker on May 27, 2026, after a two-day trial, deliberating for only about an hour before returning guilty verdicts, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Prosecutors told the court the case began when another Monroe-area man was found with more than five pounds of methamphetamine and identified Baker as his supplier. Agents then searched a vacant residence described as Baker's stash house and reported finding about one kilogram of cocaine, one kilogram of methamphetamine, more than 1,000 counterfeit ecstasy tablets, 85 pounds of marijuana — about 38.5 kilograms — four assault-style firearms and 860 rounds of ammunition. Investigators said Baker's DNA was found on three of the four firearms, and that mail addressed to him and an iPhone linked him to the house.
Agents later arrested Baker at another residence he frequented, where they reported finding about 500 grams of cocaine and a handgun in his possession. KEDM, the public radio station at the University of Louisiana Monroe, and KNOE also reported the sentence.
