The trailer broke open as the truck rolled, spilling its load of raw chicken onto the grassy shoulder beside the highway, American Truck Drivers reported, also citing the City of Clinton.

The driver was taken by AMR ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No further information about the driver has been released.
Westbound I-20 was reduced to a single lane while crews cleared the overturned truck and its cargo, and motorists were told to expect delays and to give emergency crews room to work.
The City of Clinton kept its public notice brief — and lightly worded. "We'd make a chicken joke, but we're afraid we'd just be winging it," the city said. No further information has been released about what caused the tyre failure.
